a 4-track package traversing house and techno. first up jour de fete, a reference to the black and white 1940s french comedy – perhaps a clue to mr georget… one things for sure this is toe-tapping house. taking its time to perfectly build up the progression towards smooth outbursts of wailing sirens. 6eme etape is another fine example of get-up-and-dance house, theres plenty of driving drum kick and jazzy key chords, nicely pulled back and interrupted, to drop back in again with a renewed energy. poil de renard on the other hand immediately marks out its territory among the german minimal and micro house space. strong, syncopated beats laced with chopped up whispers and unknown reverberations, this is tough! the 103 mix softens up the edges, a subtle underlying synth providing the mellowness – essentially your morning-after dub version.

puss is a new label from hnny and kornél kovács, pushing club ready dance tracks to tenderhearted discjockeys around the world. the first release came this spring, with hnnys simple yet devastatingly effective rnb refix *boy* and kornél kovács eerie dub version *yob* sharing one side each – for the follow up, hnny transforms a late 90s jam by wexford, pennsylvanias finest into an acid-tinged house jam in two different arrangements. as always with puss, each record comes with a unique real human kiss mark. expect more to come.

returning to mta records this september, the hotly-tipped josh butler delivers a 2 track release of robust house to follow up on his acclaimed *got a feeling* from earlier this year. with a recent remix of mta founders, chase & status, latest single currently doing damage across dance floors, and a string of key dj dates which include secret garden party, gottwood and subsoul (ibiza), *closer* drops in the midst of a busy summer for the rising leeds based artist.

system status (david rendal) caught our attention in 2012 with his self released pistachio ep. his production stood out to us instantly and his musicality shows through in his compositions. tusk wax, giles peterson & ashley beadle have all been paying attention to his work over the last few year and this ep was an opportunity for us to introduce another one of his tracks to the dance floor.

scotland-born parisian paradise 100 (a.k.a. dj africa, a.k.a. graham peel) has been percolating stripped-back, bouncy-castle house constructs onto the web for a few years but never locked them in wax until now. high time. following his minimalist dictum *more than three tracks on a song is just indulgence*, his debut eps four cuts share a sleek, spare design, jigsawing slinky bass, classic keys, lean drum programming and flashes of synth mirage into fluid, aerodynamic patterns. touches of melodic acid and crossover new wave color the mood an exotic, hedonistic hue (further evinced by titles like the loin king and french kissing in the house of love). his own vision of the project is appropriately fantastical: *the image in my mind is of tropical forests at night, torchlight, distant sounds of tribal ritual dance and ghosts.* regal music for pleasure domes.

people must jam is our sydney based warehouse party that we have been running for five years. the ethos behind the night initially, was to bring djs to australia that we wanted to hear but that had never been, and to put them on in intimate spaces and let them dig deep into their collections to play whatever they wanted. over the years we have brought rahaan, al kent, leo zero, mark seven, trusme, frank booker and more to australia for the first time to play. floor jammers vol. 1 is the first in a series of eps from some of our favourite past and future guests. the record is pressed on 180gm vinyl and strictly limited to 300 copies.
